Frequently Asked Questions

BEFORE YOUR SHOOT

Are you still available for my date?

That's usually the first question I get. The best way to check this out is to submit an inquiry through our contact form.

The most popular starting times are early morning and evening/sunset, but I can accommodate you also at other time depending on session type.

Please specify your preferred date and starting time, the desired amount of photo coverage and also tell me about your shoot ideas. The more information you share, the better I can help.

How many hours of photography coverage do we need?

It really depends on you, your enthusiasm, and budget. That said, my most popular Packages are 2+2 (two hours at sunrise + two hours in the evening) and 3-hour sunrise/early morning session.

The minimum booking is 30-minute mid-morning or mid-afternoon mini-session.

If you’re after maximum fun and location, outfit, and prop variety, I’d go with at least 3 hours of coverage, which is typically enough to cover main landmarks, such as the Colosseum, Forum, Trevi fountain, and include also some gorgeous viewing deck.

Please keep in mind that commute and outfit changes are part of your commissioned coverage.

 Rome Photography sessions

for weddings and elopements:

Wonderful chance to get unique, lush and artistic wedding photos from Eternal City. From small intimate elopements or wedding photography session in Rome to larger weddings with guests, venue & reception, I can cover your special event by offering you different photography options (with or without getting ready, pictures around Rome, ceremony or reception).

If you are just getting started with your wedding in Rome, I can also recommend you some service providers that I'm used to work with (wedding planner, make-up artist).

Usually weddings are harder to shoot, more equipment is being used, retouching is more thorough. That's why they are as cool as normal shoots, but a little bit more expensive.

How do we book you?

Hurray! Sounds like we’re a great match and I can’t wait to meet you! Once you're ready, I'll send you a secure invoice link that will let you pay via Credit/Debit Card or your PayPal Account; your balance is due on the day of the shoot.

What props do you recommend and where do we get them?

Glad you asked... since props that are within character are a brilliant way to spice up your Rome photo session. I recommend props that help you blissfully connect, distract you from camera awareness, and support the fun-factor. Conversely, I'm not big fan of props that distract you from connecting with each other or might feel awkward.

Props that almost always work well in Rome include Champagne, flowers, chocolates, hats, confetti poppers, and balloons. Keep in mind that props can be bulky and may slow down whole process. So try to make it compact.

Here is the top list:

  • Flowers. There is a plenty of stalls with guys making a simple beautiful bouquet for 15-20 euros. Try to get them in advance. If you need something more special - ask me and I will recommend you a florist.
  • Champagne. Always does the trick! Hey, you’re in Rome after all and there’s presumably a great reason to celebrate!
  • Balloons. No better way to put you in a fairytale. You can get them here, just 100 m from Ottaviano metro station.
  • Box of chocolates. Rome has some original shops, for instance #VenchiRoma
  • Gelato: Giolitti, La Romana and many others will serve you the best ice cream in Rome and probably in life.
  • Scooter/Vespa. The most convenient way to get around in Rome with a lot of fun. Your can rent one here.
  • A nice pair of sunglasses.

DURING YOUR SHOOT

What if it rains?

First of all, rain is the weather of love. So, if it rains — then you're lucky. Secondly, there is a Roman saying: Sposa bagnata — sposa felice ;) which means HAPPY WIFE IS WET WIFE :D Okay, no more jokes.

Here is what we do:

  • In case of light rain we take a very pretty umbrella ;)
  • In case of bad rain or a thunder we try to reschedule or cancel the shoot if rescheduling is not possible

However, keep in mind that Rome is the land of SUN and it's raining very rarely.

What if we need to cancel or re-schedule?

I will always do my best to try to fit in an emergency change (depending on my availability). Yet, I'm almost always busy and try hard to accommodate your preferred date and starting time, which often means a serious reshuffling of my personal schedules. It also implies that I cancel additional inquiries for your time-slot after you officially book with me.

What if I’m running a little late?

I understand that Rome is a busy city. However, just as you’d expect your photographer to arrive on time, I ask you kindly to arrive punctually as well. Sometimes I cover multiple shoots per day and need to be sure that I'm available for my next booking.

The maximum amount of time I contractually wait for you at the agreed meeting point is 20 minutes from your official starting time.

And even when I agree to start your shoot with a slight delay, I never commit to extending your photo coverage complimentary to account for the time lost due to your late arrival.

AFTER YOUR SHOOT

How many photos do I get?

Depending on your Package, you’ll get standard

  • ~50 photos for a 30-minute mini-session;
  • ~80 photos for one hour of photography coverage;
  • ~80 photos per hour of photography coverage and then +50 photos per each additional hour.

All pictures are watermark-free and will be edited and delivered to you in low and high resolution print-ready digital format (JPEG).

That means you can download your photo files and get them professionally printed at a local photo lab near you.

Typically, I capture well more than 20 great photos per hour of photography coverage. That’s why you have the opportunity to request additional photos edited in high resolution and print-ready for only Euro 10 per photo.

You can also purchase your entire batch of photos in unedited, high-resolution RAW format for only Euro 100.

What’s the process and turnaround time for my photos?

Within only 24 hours to 2 weeks (high season) after your Rome photo shoot, you’ll receive edited photos in low and high resolution and print-ready via a digital download link with a gorgeous private gallery.

Do you edit my photos?

Sure! I take great pride in making your photos look absolutely stunning. My goal is to edit your photo selections the exact same way I edit the photos you see on our website and social media. That means we invest real time (4-10 minutes per photo), resources, and money into my editing services. And unlike many studios who simply apply a preset filter across all of your photos with the click of a button, I actually custom-edit each of your photos by hand and with love.

Here’s what you should expect from standard photo edit:

  • adjustments to exposure, sharpness, contrast, and highlights;
  • cropping for beautiful composition;
  • horizontal and vertical rotation to ensure elements such as the Colosseum or Trevi Fountain and horizons look perfect;
  • color, vibrancy, and saturation enhancements;
  • removal of distracting elements (other people, trash and structures) whenever easily possible and desirable.

Here’s what is not included in a standard edit, but which you may request for an additional fee:

  • black & white versions of your photos;
  • removal of blemishes, scars, moles, or possibly even stains from your outfits;
  • beautification (thinning) of arms, legs, body, and chin
  • removing wallets, phones, or anything from your pockets;
  • smoothing or complex reshaping of wrinkles in your outfits, including shirts, jackets, gowns, pants, etc;
  • removing, reshaping, or recreating hair (except for bald spots for gentlemen).

Where can I leave my review?

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a heartfelt review — it means a lot to me and, importantly, helps prospective couples make an even more informed decision. Think of yourself as their “inner voice” and provide as much detail as possible.
